Katarzyna Janicka is a Brooklyn based writer born in Silesia, Poland. Janicka teaches yoga and meditation.
She is also a Reiki practitioner. Janicka graduated from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland (MA in Slavic Studies and MFA in Creative Writing).

She lived all over Europe before crossing the Atlantic. Her mini-novel TRIP was written between London, Berlin and Barcelona in the early 2000s.
PROSPECT PARK STORIES came to life in Brooklyn when she was diving into the dive-bar scene. MAYA took her around the world, from Italy, France, through an ashram in the Bahamas, Barbados and monasteries in Thailand. Janicka currently works on her new book BEFORE RELIGION which she was inspired to write while living in the Zen Monastery in upstate New York.
